Lost Lake Memorial Bricks
Great Lakes Council in an effort to make Elliott Center more accessible to visitors have paved a walkway from parking lot to the building. Although the walkway has been installed, funding is still needed to pay for the project. Purchased engraved memorial pavers that will be set into the walkway will help defray the cost.
4X8 brick 3 lines at 14 characters per line can be purchased for $50.00. Spaces between letters equal one character.
8X8 Pavers 6 lines at 14 Characters per line can be purchased for $135.00. Spaces between letters equal one character.

Chippewa Activities 2012
Pinewood Derby Rules
The Chippewa District will not run a standalone Pinewood Derby Race for 2012. We will have a Pinewood Derby Station at the Chippewa Spring Fun Day. All Scouts in attendance may participate in the Pinewood Derby Station. Winners for those races will be invited to the Council Pinewood Derby.
Summer Camp
Chippewa district did well at summer camp in 2011. We had the highest percent of units going to council camp and were tied for first place for number of scouts attending council camps.
Unfortunately, we also had the highest percent (40%) of scouts that didn’t attend summer camp in 2011. WE CAN DO BETTER IN 2012.
If a scout cannot attend summer camp with his troop for any reason. PLEASE make an effort to help him join another district troop that is going to summer camp at a different time. This will help expand his scouting experience.
Jamboree Campership CSP
The Great Lakes Council will be sending 324 Boy Scouts and 24 Venture Scouts to the 2013 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel National Scout Reserve along with 33 adults to support them. The Jamboree Committee would like to make sure every youth is able to attend and have developed a Campership JSP to help develop the financial resource pool for the Scouts.
